Job Description What is the opportunity? The Director, Strategic Security Integrations initiatives is responsible for assisting in the acquisition due diligence, network and application security reviews and security consultation of newly acquired companies as well as supporting potential divestitures. This role collaborates across all towers within Global Security's organizational boundaries, with a focus on developing integration plans for each acquisition while managing technical risk throughout the deal lifecycle. You will identify and assess key security issues for acquired entities, implementing actionable plans to achieve remediation of security threats, and diving deep on tactical security aspects of a service in need of extra attention while driving risk mitigation strategy for acquired entities. In addition, the role includes supporting all Cybersecurity technical needs and the overall work effort for end to end integration for M&A initiatives. Additionally, the role encompasses influencing cross-functional security diligence and integration teams to ensure all relevant security tasks are completed. Stakeholder groups include the acquired entity and the broader Security teams, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and IT partners. What will you do? Review network, cloud, and access architecture of acquired companies including technology, operations and processes with the goal of defining a plan to align to and integrate with RBC Perform security reviews and capabilities assessments on acquisitions to determine gaps and priorities for integration Support and provide recommendations to leadership for remediating security gaps Providing in depth expertise about security principles and ensuring controls are included as technical requirements Advising peer architects, technologists and business partners on approved security patterns and practices Reviewing and challenging defined IT security related internal standards for the ongoing improvement of GS M&A policies and procedures Acting as a single point of contact, collaborating closely with other Global Security and Technology Infrastructure resources, for IT security related matters Promoting IT Security culture within the business and application management team and building an external network regarding IT security relevant to the business function Defining pragmatic solutions and recommending alternatives that meet or exceed security requirements for acquired companies Performing risk/threat assessments of all M&A projects related to the function and reporting on the security status of projects What do you need to succeed? Must have: Requires 7 years of technology domain experience in information technology roles, related to network design, cloud principles, and engineering Proven ability to identify and assess critical security risks in acquired entities, including vulnerabilities in infrastructure, applications, and processes Strong strategic thinking to drive risk mitigation strategies tailor
