Job Description What is the Opportunity? As a member of RBC’s Compensation Delivery team, the successful candidate plays a key role in the successful delivery of global equity/deferred compensation programs and supports the annual year-end compensation planning process. Requirements of this role are balanced between development of technical expertise and exceptional client service. What will you do? Support grant and vest processes for monthly and/or annual awards of equity/deferred compensation programs, providing critical validations to ensure sufficient controls, and support enhanced process documentation. Support global year-end compensation planning processes with data audit/compliance activities throughout compensation planning season. Collaborate with Compensation Advisory, Payroll, Global Mobility and other internal partners for projects and year-end planning using a project management approach. Resolve equity award related concerns/issues, and serve as a key contact to internal partners and award participants. Ensure accurate and timely quarterly administration of the dividend reinvestment process, including audits on the internal HRIS and third-party recordkeeping system (Shareworks). Provide reports to internal partners, such as Finance, Compliance, Corporate Treasury, Compensation Governance, and others as required. Share responsibility for regulatory filings of RBC Insiders to reflect changes in equity holdings to meet regional requirements. Partner with external tax advisors to ensure appropriate treatment of equity compensation payments for cross-border employees, and provide accurate reporting to Canadian and international payroll teams. Strengthen relationships with external provider(s), continuously seeking ways to better leverage existing systems, and explore improved reporting and uses for validations. Identify and implement ongoing process improvements, automation and simplification to drive team efficiency and effectiveness. Support initiatives to broaden equity knowledge across participants and partners. Act as back-up to other Equity Compensation Delivery team members to ensure the team provides uninterrupted delivery and ongoing project management. Support ad hoc compensation projects and other duties as required. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in Compensation, Data Management, Project Management and/or Human Resources (with exposure to Finance or Payroll, an asset). Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business or Human Resources. Solid understanding of complex compensation programs and frameworks (i.e., in-year and deferred compensation programs) found within complex global traded organizations is required. Experience in publicly traded organizations is an asset. Strong interest and proficiency in working with large data sets, data management, and data quality. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large data sets while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
