Job Description

Job Description What is the Opportunity? In the role of Sr. Manager, Client & Market Intelligence, you are responsible for building and owning the complete intelligence picture of RBC's cross-border client segment — both internal and external. You will give the segment a clear, accurate, and regularly refreshed view of who RBC's cross-border clients are, how well they are being served, what the total market opportunity looks like, and where competitors are positioned. This role sits at the foundation of the segment strategy. Your work helps the team determine who to serve, where to focus, and how large the prize is. What will you do? Client Segmentation and Persona Classification: Develop the methodology for classifying the RBC Bank US client base into personas using behavioral and transactional signal logic. Develop and maintain the scoring model and trigger logic, establish confidence flagging, and ensure classifications are robust enough to drive CRM activation and business decisions. CRM-Ready Client Activation Lists: Translate segmentation output into prioritized client lists that Marketing and channels can act on directly. Addressable Market Sizing: Build and maintain a living model of population estimates for each of the six cross-border personas, triangulating multiple external sources and industry research. This model becomes the foundation for all opportunity quantification. Share of Market Estimation: Estimate RBC Bank US's current penetration of the addressable market for each persona. Share a regularly updated view and surface material shifts with leadership and stakeholders. Competitive Intelligence: Own competitive monitoring. Maintain a live competitive scorecard updated at least quarterly. Flag time-sensitive competitive developments as they occur. Macro and Migration Trend Monitoring: Track and synthesize external trends affecting cross-border segments. Produce a regular macro signal brief that gives leadership advance notice of trends that will affect strategy. External Data Partnership Management: Own relationships with third-party data providers, manage commissioned research vendors, and ensure external research outputs are integrated into the segment's market view. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: 5–8 years of progressive experience in analytics, market research, or strategy within financial services or a data-intensive industry. Experience building client segmentation models using behavioural and transactional data, methodology design and application Hands-on experience with large, structured datasets in a banking or financial services context Proven track record of external market sizing using multiple imperfect data sources with stated methodology and confidence levels Experience producing and maintaining structured competitive intelligence in a regular cadence Experience presenting analytical findings to senior leadership and translating data into commercial recommendations Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statisti
