Job Description What is the Opportunity? RBC offers an exciting role as a Payroll Operations Analyst . Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Payroll Delivery , the Payroll Operations Analyst is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing within the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy of employee records, calculating wages and deductions, implementing payroll policies, addressing employee inquiries, collaborating with HR and other teams, staying abreast of tax regulations. The Payroll Operations Analyst requires a thorough understanding of the payroll system, attention to detail, compliance with legal requirements and effective communication and problem-solving skills to ensure a smooth payroll operation. What will you do? Ensuring the quality, integrity and timeliness of payroll reports, management reviews, and other analytical reports. Assisting with the processing and analysis of the bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls, including running payroll reports and balancing. Participate in the year-end compensation process, including balancing and validation of reports. Conducts reviews and pay inquiries as required. Ensure compliance with federal and provincial labor standards. Investigate and reconcile payroll discrepancies. Implement strategies to minimize errors and improve overall accuracy. Testing of SAP upgrades, new releases and new functionality. Payroll business practices, identifies, and promotes best practices with the payroll systems. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. What do you need to succeed? Must have: Excellent knowledge of Canadian Payroll legislations, policies, procedures, and payroll best practices across all provinces. Demonstrated adaptability to changing priorities and fast paced, deadline-driven environment. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent analytical skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize challenges. Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with all internal and external individuals and agencies, in an efficient and effective manner. National Payroll Institute designation (PCP, PLP) required or working towards one of the designations. Minimum 5 years of experience in a payroll analyst role. Nice-to-have : Experience with SAP and Workday. Bilingual in French would be an asset. What鈥檚 in it for you?
