Job Description What is the opportunity? Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) is responsible for providing risk oversight of RBC’s trading activities including counterparty exposure measurement and monitoring, portfolio risk analysis and reporting, and counterparty reference data management. As Risk Manager in CCR, you will support the production of reporting and analysis for senior management, business heads and regulators with views and insights which help manage counterparty credit risk in RBC’s trading portfolio. This position offers exposure to multiple facets of counterparty credit risk management with a primary focus on reporting, data reconciliation / processing and related analysis. Standard working hours are from 9am to 6pm (MYT). Occasional night or early morning calls may be required to coordinate with stakeholders in Europe and North America regions. What will you do? Support production of a variety of risk reports for stakeholders, including senior committees, shareholders and regulators. Pro-actively investigate notable risk trends, and provide clear and comprehensive analysis highlighting potential areas of concern. Demonstrate deep understanding of the current financial markets and trading risks at RBC to provide senior management with insightful risks assessments and proposed risk mitigation action. Execute daily validation and reconciliation activities across multiple systems; Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and generate monitoring reports. Collaborate with global market risk and CCR colleagues on risk reporting and data related investigations. Assist in the implementation of project-based initiatives. What do you need to succeed? Must-have Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or other quantitative discipline. At least 2 years of relevant experience in quantitative risk control function such as market or credit risk, with an understanding of capital markets trading products and related credit risk concepts. Understanding of financial products (e.g. fixed income, rates, foreign exchange, equities, credit and derivatives); Familiarity with counterparty credit risk concepts and related risk types (e.g. PSR, Settlement Risk); Knowledge of netting, collateralization, and mitigation techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good command and hands on experience with Excel, Python, and SQL. Excellent verbal and written English communication; Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
