To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You'll Be Doing The Capital Markets arm of CIBC provides integrated capital markets products, investment banking advisory services, corporate lending, and top-ranked research to corporate, government, institutional and retail clients around the world. Our goal is to be the leading Capital Markets franchise in Canada and the lead relationship bank for key clients globally. CIBC Capital Markets consists of three lines of business; Global Markets, Global Investment Banking and Corporate Banking. How You’ll Succeed Financial Modeling and Analysis: Ability to create and interpret financial models, forecasts, and valuation techniques. Quantitative Skills: Proficiency in analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions. Risk Management: Understanding of credit, market, and operational risks, and the ability to mitigate them effectively. Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with financial statements, accounting principles, and regulatory reporting. Market Awareness: Deep understanding of financial markets, instruments, and macroeconomic factors. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements. Technology and Tools: Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters, and financial modeling software. Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate terms and close deals effectively. Presentation Skills: Communicating complex financial concepts clearly to clients, investors, and internal teams. Decision-Making: Evaluating risks and opportunities to make informed decisions under pressure. Critical Thinking: Ability to assess situations, identify challenges, and develop innovative solutions. Strategic Planning: Aligning financial strategies with organizational goals and market conditions. Change Management: Adapting to evolving market conditions, technologies, and regulatory environments. Integrity: Upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality. Team Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative work environment. Who You Are Education & Industry Experience. Minimum 5 years related experience; MBA, CFA or other relevant professional designation preferred with strong knowledge of Capital Markets products.
