Job Description

The Associate Legal supports the Legal function by providing timely and practical legal assistance across day-to-day operations. The role focuses on legal research, drafting, regulatory monitoring, and advisory support to Counsel/Senior Counsel, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position works closely with business units to help identify and mitigate legal risks effectively. Position Responsibilities: Handle a variety of day-to-day legal inquiries from business units across the organization. Provide legal analysis and preliminary legal opinions to Counsel/Senior Counsel on operational and regulatory matters. Conduct legal research on statutory, regulatory, and case law issues to support legal advice and decision-making. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents, including agreements, internal policies, and correspondence. Support negotiations where required, under the supervision of Counsel/Senior Counsel. Monitor legislative, regulatory, and industry developments and provide regular updates to the Legal team. Support the implementation and maintenance of legal systems, documentation, and processes. Assist in identifying legal risks and propose practical mitigation approaches. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion. Required Qualifications: Licensed to practice law in Indonesia. Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, or a regulated industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Solid understanding of legal systems, statutory interpretation, and case law. Demonstrated ability to draft clear and accurate legal documentation. Strong attention to detail and well-organized working style. Tactful, professional, and able to operate with a high level of discretion Preferred Qualifications: Ability to identify legal issues and analyze risks pragmatically.
