Position Summary... We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead, design, build, manage and operate end to end Compute Infrastructure solutions and tooling. You’ll work as part of a infrastructure platform team focused on scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure services—owning features from design to production. The ideal candidate is a strong Python developer, comfortable with Java and Go, who can also author Concord workflows, write Ansible playbooks, and manage code with Git following best practices. You should excel in DevOps/SRE workflows and be confident managing databases (schema, operations, performance) and skills in dashboard/UI developments. Also, should have leadership qualities to enable the team in the development and exposure in managing the operating systems of Unix & Linux flavors, virtualization infrastructure of Nutanix / VMware with an occasional on-call assistance in a sun model. Enterprise hosts a variety of corporate workloads which are often based on stateful and/or proprietary architecture. Team Provides secure, well-connected, scalable, segmented, highly available, fully managed environment for hosting mission critical workloads Focused on Enterprise, and managed private cloud hardware. What you'll do: Design & Develop : Build microservices, CLIs, APIs and automation tooling in Python (primary), plus Java/Go where appropriate. Compute Infrastructure : Implement services for provisioning, orchestration, scheduling, capacity management, and lifecycle automation across very large on‑prem and/or cloud environments. Workflow Automation : Create and maintain Concord workflows for CI/CD, approvals, environment orchestration, and operational runbooks. Leadership Qualities : Exhibits strong leadership abilities by fostering innovation, driving continuous development, leveraging automation expertise, and empowering the team to deliver high-impact results effectively. Configuration Management : Author Ansible roles and playbooks and Puppet code for system configuration, patching, and service deployment. Version Control Excellence : Drive high‑quality Git practices—branching strategy, code reviews, PR hygiene, semantic versioning, and release tagging. DevOps & Reliability : Build pipelines, observability (metrics, logs, tracing), alerts, dashboards, and SLOs; contribute to incident response and postmortems. Database Ownership : Design schemas, write migration scripts, optimize queries, and manage operations (backup/restore, replication, failover) for relational and/or NoSQL systems. Operating Systems & Virtualisation Management : Managing and assisting the Unix & Linux operating systems, and virtualization infrastructure of Nutanix and VMware platforms.
