Responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers, in the areas of supply chain management & Customer experience. As a Senior Software Engineer on the W Membership team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that shape the future of customer loyalty at Walmart. You will lead the development of scalable platforms that power membership acquisition, retention, and engagement, while ensuring engineering excellence. As an experienced engineer, you will play a key role in defining technical strategy, driving cross-functional collaboration, and delivering customer-centric solutions. This is a high-visibility role with significant opportunities for growth and impact. What you'll do: Responsible for the design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of applications/feature, reusable libraries, and frameworks, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI-powered tools for code generation, automation, and cross-platform development. Raise the bar on best practices, code quality, documentation, testing, monitoring, and feature delivery by actively integrating AI-assisted coding, code review, and testing workflows into the engineering process. Demonstrate strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including sharing AI-driven insights and recommendations for product and process improvements. Champion sustainable engineering by continuously improving best practices, producing best-in-class code, documentation, testing, and monitoring, and adopting AI tools for productivity and quality assurance. Estimate effort, identify risks (including those related to AI adoption), help with prioritization, and devise/meet project schedules. Collaborate with other engineers, providing technical guidance on AI-powered development workflows, code generation, and cross-platform strategies. Rise above details to spot broader issues, trends, and implications for the product/team, including the impact of AI and automation on engineering practices and team productivity What you'll bring: BE/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent. 6-9 years of strong design/development experience overall, with 6 years of mobile development experience.
