Job Description What is the opportunity? We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Mortgage Closing officer. Based in the Home Equity Closing Centre, the Mortgage Closing Officer will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance of mortgage and homeline files from the Mortgage Specialists and the branch network, from approval up to disbursement/activation of the file. In this role, you will deliver exceptional support to the mortgage closing team but also have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives beyond core responsibilities. Provide consistent service within established benchmarks contributing to achievement of business Client Service Commitments (CSC’s) and proactively identify and recommends solutions to recurring errors and service gaps Verify all documents / information to ensure that they are complete and that the information is correct, and take the necessary steps to ensure that corrective action is taken. Takes ownership to resolve complex issues and concerns at the first point of contact, demonstrating a long-term perspective in addressing client concerns Takes full accountability for quality and accuracy of day to day job responsibilities, tasks and activities ensuring a balanced focus on enhanced client experience, efficiency and effectiveness and operational risk Prioritize urgent requests. Ensure any follow-ups, amendments as well omissions are treated efficiently and on time. Collaborate effectively with the core team and other business functions to deliver seamless service What do you need to succeed? Must-have Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs. Ability to prioritize, multitask and confidently take on a high workload with a commitment to delivering superior client experience Maintain flexibility to support tasks and priorities outside of primary responsibilities Proven interpersonal, communication and problem resolution skills Fast learner and be able to adapt easily to changes Ability to work required shifts within the business hours of 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, and able to work overtime during the peak period Nice-to-have Proven knowledge of RBC Personal Lending Products – Mortgages and Homeline Plans Good working knowledge of RBC systems – LINX, OLMS, OLBB, CASPER What’s in it for you?
