Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC is a highly complex global organization with significant supplier spend and vendor complexity. Effective sourcing and management of suppliers are critical contributors to RBC's operational efficiency. Managing these complex relationships can be risky and require effective execution of supplier risk management activities. The purpose of this position is support the Senior Manager on the execution of the Supplier Management processes and methodologies according to the Third Party Policy and standards. The Summer Internship role is responsible for proactive support, including anticipating issues and initiating appropriate actions to ensure the most effective use of time during the internship What will you do? Work with various procurement applications, data analysis tools and resources providing support to teams and key stakeholders Prioritize incoming requests and project assignments to support execution of the required risk management activities under the Functions Supplier Management (FSMO) team Establish relationships with teams in other platforms to share and discuss best practices outside RBC Functions Build and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders, Supplier Management, and other support groups including Center of governances What do you need to succeed? Must-have Microsoft Office Suite Organization skills: identifies and prioritized information Analytical thinking: Identifies relationships between data and information. Detail oriented: Locating and collecting data from appropriate sources and analyzing it to prepare meaningful and concise reports that summarize the information Providing advice: Provides suggestions based on established information and precedent Teamwork: Work better with others to achieve mutual goals Problem solving: Work through issues critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions Nice-to-have Understanding of Risk Management (Canadian Risk Management Certificate) Supply chain knowledge Data analytics capabilities What鈥檚 in it for you?
