Job Description What is the Opportunity? Provides technical analyses and support for the actuarial function or department. Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments. What will you do? Create and maintain AXIS valuation models for all RBC Insurance lines of businesses Review and investigate AXIS valuation models and other key actuarial processes to provide assurance of model appropriateness Present results of quality assurance reviews to key stakeholders and/or management to enable corrective action where necessary Provide support to internal and external auditors (as potential GRM-I liaison), under the guidance of the manager, during the department’s periodic internal and external audits Assist with the model change management process and enterprise model risk policy that maintain valuation model integrity Liaise with pricing, business, IT and other actuarial & non-actuarial areas within RBCI as needed Involve with IFRS 17 modeling Support projects such as actuarial modeling software conversion, system migration, new funds and so on. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: Extensive working experience with GGY AXIS Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong technical and analytical skills, plus common insurance product knowledge Expert user of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and SQL Minimum 2 years of actuarial insurance experience with demonstrated knowledge of professional standards of practice Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) Nice-to-have: Other programing knowledge, such as Python and R Experience with life insurance administration systems What’s in it for you?
